It’s been a busy summer so far at the KPL. We finished our remodeling project and are currently weeding our adult non-fiction shelves for another project we will be working on this year. June was our busiest month of the year with over 7400 items circulated! We still have two weeks left in our summer reading program. Prizes will be handed out through August, so keep reading if you got started late!
Today at 1:30, Mikael Rudolph, a “vaudevillian mime artist” from Minnesota will be at the Annex Building. This show is not to be missed! He has performed all over the country and is a master at comic mime acting. The doors to the Annex will be unlocked at 1:00, but the performance will not begin until 1:30.
Thursday night the library will be selling ice cream treats and beverages during the Big Cedar Bluegrass performance at River Hill Park. Big Cedar is a 5-member bluegrass band with fiddle, banjo, guitar, bass and mandolin. The show is free and will be fun for the whole family.
Next Friday is our picnic at Kiwanis Park. We’ll be playing games and picking names for some fun prizes, so make sure to sign up for this event. Sandwiches and drinks will be provided; if you’d like to bring a side dish or dessert to share, please let a library staff member know!
