Pick up Barbara Kingsolver’s memoir “Animal, Vegetable, Miracle” today at the library! We have copies enough for everyone. “Miracle” is the story of how one family was changed by one year of eating locally produced food–food that they raised and grew themselves or bought from small farms in their community.
Events relating to the book and themes of eating local and sustainable agriculture will be held during the third week of October:
Tuesday, Oct. 13 — Discussion of “Animal, Vegetable, Miracle” led by Master Gardener Mary Reilly-Kliss. Kewaskum High School Rose Library @ 7pm.
Thursday, Oct. 15 — Documentary “King Corn” and discussion of sustainable farming and rural culture by UW Oshkosh professor Paul Van Auken. Kewaskum High School Theater @ 7pm.
