On Tuesday, November 10, at 6pm, the Kewaskum Pubic Library will host a workshop and trading session for artist trading cards. Artist trading cards (ATCs) are miniature works of art the size of modern baseball or collectible card game cards. The ATC movement began in Switzerland in 1997 as artists decided to create small pictures to trade with each other at art shows. The idea has spread around the world and there are trading groups online and locally, including a group in Milwaukee. Mel Kolstad is an artist from Fond du Lac who has been creating ATCs for several years. She will give a short presentation on different techniques for making an ATC and provide materials for making cards. This program is for adults and students—anyone interested in doing something creative. ATC techniques include drawing, painting, transfers, stickers, collage and many more. This program is free and open to the public. Please contact the library to sign up at 626-4312.
