A recent article in the New York Times casts doubt on the near-mythological impact that the Harry Potter books have had on the reading habits of children. With book 7 looming (and we got our meager 3 copies today), libraries and bookstores the world over certainly hope that kids keep reading after the end of the Potter saga.
