In his new book “Future Files,” Richard Watson posits a future without libraries, post offices, glaciers, coins, trade unions, wallets, blindness, and all of the other things we take for granted today. I have no way of knowing if he’s right or not, but, to paraphrase Stephen Colbert, my gut tells me that Watson is wrong. A world without libraries??!?! By 2018!?
