If you’ve been in town lately, you know that we are in the thick of a huge construction project. Main Street (state highway 28 east) is completely torn up. New water and sewer pipes are going to be put down, then a complete resurfacing of the roadway, including a new bridge of the Milwaukee River and new curb and gutter and sidewalks. It’s going to look pretty nice when it’s finished, but that won’t be until the end of the summer or possibly even early fall. What to do in the meantime? We suggest just avoiding Main Street altogether by taking a detour through the residential neighborhood on Edgewood Drive. This will get you around the construction and to the library and the central parking lot in town where you can park and still get to all of your favorite Main Street shops.
