How do I get a library card?

The Kewaskum Public Library is accessible to any resident of the state of Wisconsin. You do not have to live in Kewaskum in order to get a library card. We also accept cards from 25 other libraries (Yes, this includes West Bend). These other libraries will accept a Kewaskum library card. Follow the trio libraries link to see which other libraries you can use.

To get a KPL card you must:

  • Live in Wisconsin.
  • Have some form of ID that shows your current address (usually a driver’s license or state ID card).
  • Be 16 or older OR have a parent or guardian come in with you to sign your card and the application form. We do not allow anyone under 16 to apply for a library card without a parent or guardian.
  • Have no outstanding fines at other libraries in our System. Because we are linked with over 20 other libraries located across 3 counties, we are able to track your fine history from location to location. If you have LOST items or fines or fees over $5 at any library in our system, you may not get a new card until those problems are solved. You may pay for fines here or return items here.
