January Beading Class

On Tuesday, January 24, at 6pm, we will host a beginner’s beading class taught by Xpressions Bead and Yarn Shop in Barton. The project this year will be a needle and thread snowflake pendant (similar to last year). If you’re new to beading, this is the perfect chance for you to learn! Cost is only $5 per person!

Summer Reading Program

What is the Summer Reading Program? 6 Weeks of Mysteries @ Your Library!

1. If you are in K4 to 5th grade, sign up at the library between June 4th and 15th.
2. Get a reading folder and A TON OF GREAT BOOKS and read 180 minutes a week.
3. At the end of each week, bring your folder in and get a prize! While you’re here, try to solve one of our mysteries. . .
4. Sign up for our weekly special events–bring your brother or sister, mom or dad, a cousin, whoever (or is it whomever?).
5. Bring back your folder by July 20th to be added to our prize drawing where we hand out A TON OF GREAT PRIZES at the picnic.
6. Do a little dance.

February community program

On Tuesday, February 13th, the Kewaskum Public Library will host a program on “Cozy Comfort Food Ideas for the Family” at 6pm. This 60-minute presentation will be lead by K.C. Thorson of K.C.’s Kafe, a Menomonee Falls business that specializes in presenting recipes, workshops, and classes on cooking with whole, organic and natural foods. Some of the topics during the program will be: dinner ideas and tips for 15-20 minute preparation, natural and whole substitutes for family favorites and new user-friendly ideas for common appliances. This program will be of interest to those who want to make healthy choices for family meals. Sample food will be available at the presentation.
